2014 was absolutely fabulous! A year ago we had barely arrived to this beautiful island, and felt that anything could happen, novices that we were! Time has flown by so fast, and we are looking forward to another fantastic and prosperous year 😀
Christmas came and went. We had lunch with a bunch of friends at the lovely Es Verger, high up in the mountains of Alaro (it’s even higher up than we are!)
La Mamacita with her delicious chunks of lamb brightened our already bright x-mas, and the burning ”dessert” made things ever merrier.
After a nippy Christmas week, the weather turned, and as 2015 came around the corner, the sun showed its pretty face and temperatures rose to near summer levels. People awoke from their holiday daze to hang out at the many cafés that Palma has to offer.
My dear friend Lisa came to visit again and we had a grand week of parties and almost hysterical socializing. Eventually we felt we had to get back on track, and went to the outskirts of Palma for a nice day with our friends.
Petra and Helen were dressed for exercise and we spent the next 2 hours power walking along the beach from Portixcol to….well….a bit further east….. or thereabouts. As usual, I linger here and there as I always carry my camera, and constantly see things I have to photograph.
These fishermen hard at work, mending their messy fishing nets.
This guy who treated all us bystanders to tricks on his mountain bike.
Two children playing games on the beach.
A few brave people were on (and in) the water. I decided NOT to snap a pic of the naked man waving his willy for all to see. This tranquil person seemed much less provocative…
The doggie playing with a stick in her beloved ocean (usually not allowed, although this being off-season we figured nobody would mind. And we were right!)
As usual in Mallorca, art is everywhere to be discovered.
And the views are simply beautiful!
Even the quaint alleys are worth taking pictures of.
From pretty pink x-mas holidays to…
